Purpose:
The Portland Trail Blazers reached out to me to build an opener for their home games. They wanted traditional cel animation with a bit of comic book style. The deliverable needed to encompass all the LED screens in the arena.
Challenge:
The request required me to hire a character illustrator for the team roster. I would build the environment elements, backgrounds and do the frame animation with the provided characters (players). The arena had several individual screen sizes and resolutions. All the screens required syncing.
